Dream Bigger.
Build Smarter.
Shape Your Future.

SparkTheDream Plus is a youth development program designed to help young people build the confidence, knowledge, and practical skills they need to make better decisions for their future.

Through financial literacy, entrepreneurship, responsible use of technology and AI, mentoring, and real-world experiences, students move beyond simply learning concepts — they get opportunities to apply what they learn, develop ideas, work with mentors, and bring those ideas to life.

  1. Dream It
  2. Build It

The theme song

Every dream deserves an anthem.

The SparkTheDream song — the sound of the program, and of young people learning, building, and believing they can go further.

The need

Preparing young people for life beyond the classroom.

Young people today are growing up in a rapidly changing world. Understanding money is important — but financial confidence also means knowing how to make decisions, identify opportunities, adapt to change, communicate ideas, and turn plans into action.

SparkTheDream Plus helps students develop these capabilities through an engaging learning journey.

  • Financial Literacy

Practical skills in budgeting, saving, spending, costing, pricing, and responsible financial decision-making.

  • Entrepreneurship

Learn how to identify opportunities, develop ideas, understand customers, and create simple business concepts.

  • Future-Ready Skills

Confidence, communication, teamwork, creativity, problem-solving, and responsible AI awareness.

  • Real-World Experiences

Move from classroom learning to mentoring, pitching, selling, competitions, showcases, and community engagement.

The pathways

A learning journey that grows with students.

SparkTheDream Plus provides age-appropriate pathways for elementary and senior high school students, helping learners gradually move from foundational knowledge to practical application. The current program is designed to reach 4,000 elementary students, alongside a 1,000-student Senior High School pilot.

Elementary

For Elementary Students

A three-level journey from foundational knowledge to practical entrepreneurial experience.

  1. Dream It

Entrepreneurship · Mindset · Financial Literacy · AI

Students begin by developing an entrepreneurial mindset, foundational money skills, confidence, and an introduction to the responsible use of AI.

  2. Build It

    Financial Confidence · Business Basics

Students turn ideas into simple business concepts while learning about budgeting, costing, pricing, saving, and teamwork.

  3. Showcase It

    DreamShowcase Competition & Bazaar

Students put their learning into action by presenting mini-business ideas, pitching, selling, interacting with others, and showcasing what they have created.

Senior High School

From ideas to real-world action.

Senior high school students progress through a deeper four-stage experience.

  1. Dream It

Students explore entrepreneurship, financial literacy, opportunity recognition, and responsible AI.

  2. Build It

Students work with mentors on customer discovery, product development, financial planning, marketing, and pitching.

  3. Showcase It

Students join local competitions and bazaars where they can pitch, sell, gather customer feedback, and evaluate their business performance.

  4. Lead It

Students strengthen personal and business financial management while creating an action plan for what comes next.

Mentoring

Learning from real people. Building real confidence.

A key part of SparkTheDream Plus is the involvement of FWD volunteers and professionals, who bring financial concepts to life through their own knowledge and experiences.

The goal is to make financial education relatable, accessible, and connected to decisions young people will encounter in real life.

Volunteers may support students through

  • Classroom facilitation
  • Financial literacy discussions
  • Entrepreneurship activities
  • Student mentoring
  • Professional experience sharing
  • Practical learning videos

Beyond the classroom

Learning beyond the classroom.

SparkTheDream Plus gives selected students opportunities to use their new skills in real-world environments — a platform to practice entrepreneurship, creativity, teamwork, communication, and confidence.

  • DreamShowcase competitions

    Pitch ideas and receive feedback.

  • Student bazaars & night markets

Reach

Growing with communities across the Philippines.

SparkTheDream Plus is designed to grow alongside FWD’s local presence. Through collaboration with schools, educators, FWD Financial Advisers, volunteers, businesses, and community partners, the program aims to build a scalable model for bringing financial education closer to young people across the country.

  • Metro Manila
  • Cebu
  • Cagayan de Oro
  • Davao

And the journey doesn’t end after high school

Forward
Your Success

Learn. Lead. Multiply.

As learners grow, their role can change — from students who learn about financial literacy to young leaders who teach it, advocate for it, and help other people build financial confidence.

Forward Your Success expands the journey to college students and young adults by developing them into financial literacy advocates who can use their knowledge to empower their peers and communities. Through training, leadership development, communication, and community action, participants don’t just learn about financial wellbeing — they learn how to pass that knowledge forward.

The existing FWD Philippines Forward Your Success program is part of FWD’s broader financial-literacy initiatives for young people.

Two stages

From student to financial literacy advocate.

University students participate in an intensive learning experience designed around two key stages.

Build Financial Confidence

Participants strengthen their understanding of

  • Money mindset and financial goal-setting
  • Smart budgeting, saving, and spending
  • Entrepreneurship and income opportunities
  • Digital finance and responsible financial decisions

Lead and Multiply

Then they develop the skills to share it through

  • Leadership and communication
  • Public speaking and facilitation
  • Designing engaging financial-literacy activities
  • Community action planning

By the end of the experience, each participant is equipped with an action plan to lead a financial-literacy activity of their own.

The multiplier effect

One student trained. Many more empowered.

Activities may include peer-learning sessions, school-based workshops, financial-literacy webinars, and community awareness campaigns.

  1. Train

    100

Student Advocates complete the Forward Your Success experience.

  2. Lead

    Their own
    activities

Student Advocates organize and facilitate their own financial-literacy activities.

  3. Multiply

    2,000+

Students and community members reached with practical financial education.

A youth-led movement

Building a youth-led movement for financial confidence.

Forward Your Success transforms young people from learners into advocates. With support from FWD volunteers, universities, schools, businesses, and community partners, Student Advocates have the opportunity to use their voices and experiences to make financial literacy more accessible to others.

Because financial education becomes even more powerful when young people don’t just learn it — they share it.
