CHA-CHING

A financial literacy program that aims to teach Grade 4 students financial literacy through basic money concepts integrated in their curriculum, as part of the 360 degree approach to effectively form healthy financial habits that they can bring to adulthood. Moreover, in order to improve the curriculum implementation and recognize the hardworking teachers behind this initiative, the Cha-Ching Financial Accreditation (CCFA), an online assessment tool, was created for the teachers, with the goal of gauging the knowledge of our educators on financial literacy and the effectiveness of our method of teaching. With CCFA passers and Deped coordinators and teachers as our Cha-Ching advocates, students will be one step closer to a financially literate generation in the future.

CASHCAPADES

Cashcapades is a competition that envisions the integration of Financial Literacy and Entrepreneurship education to different competition segments focused on Grade 4 & Grade 5 students. It is divided into various segments, which cover the topic: Earn, Save, Spend, and Donate. It was formed in order to apply what the students learned from the Cha-Ching Curriculum and to bring out their skills and talents in creativity and critical thinking skills.

EDUCOMICS

Educomics is an innovative program by Junior Achievement (JA) Philippines, in partnership with Johnson & Johnson, designed to spark curiosity and passion for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) among young learners. Through engaging and visually compelling comics, the program introduces students—especially Grade 6 female students—to the exciting possibilities within the STEM field.

By combining education and storytelling, EduComics makes complex STEM concepts more accessible and relatable, helping students envision themselves as future scientists, engineers, and innovators. The program aims to break gender stereotypes, encourage inclusivity in STEM, and inspire the next generation of female leaders in science and technology.

Project Aral 

The Project ARAL (Academic Recovery and Accessible Learning), initiated by the Philippine government, emphasizes the necessity for a thorough national strategy to tackle the learning deficits worsened by the pandemic. This program specifically aims to support students who have fallen behind, particularly those deprived of learning opportunities due to the health crisis. The program is for learners in Grades 4 and 5 encountering difficulties in Mathematics who are at a higher risk which could ultimately hinder their future academic achievements.

BUSINESS SKILLS PASS

The JA Business Skills Pass Program (BSP) is a comprehensive initiative designed to provide senior high school students with practical, real-world business experience from business planning to implementation. It offers immersive training and mentoring opportunities, allowing students to develop crucial skills required for work-readiness, entrepreneurship, and higher education preparation.

The BSP aligns with the Philippine government’s K-12 educational objectives, particularly its focus on preparing students for future employment, business ventures, or higher education by integrating work-readiness skills, entrepreneurial thinking, and leadership development.

COMPANY OF THE YEAR

The Company of the Year (COY) Competition empowers students to apply their business and entrepreneurial skills in education, career development, and community service.

Participants have the opportunity to earn specialized awards in key business areas, including Marketing, Finance, Production, Public Relations, and Human Resources. Each year, student-led mini-companies from various schools and institutions compete by pitching their businesses, showcasing their innovations, and standing out among hundreds of aspiring young entrepreneurs nationwide.

The winning team earns the prestigious JA Philippines Company of the Year title and advances to represent the country in regional and global JA competitions, gaining international exposure and recognition.

eSmart Digital Licence+

eSmart Digital Licence+ is an innovative program that equips high school students with essential digital literacy, skills, and readiness through an engaging, gamified learning experience. Designed to empower the next generation, eSmart Digital Licence+ ensures students navigate the digital world safely and responsibly.

EY Stem Learning

A joint collaboration between JA Philippines and EY Global Delivery Services Philippines promoting the use of the EY STEM App, an enriching program for girls from Junior and Senior High School levels that vitalizes the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, & Mathematics with empowerment, through the use of a mobile application that forges learning in a gamified platform.


FedEx International Trade Challenge

The FedEx/JA International Trade Challenge (FedEx/JA ITC) is an annual competition that equips high school students across the Asia Pacific with international business and trade skills. Sponsored by FedEx and organized by JA Asia Pacific, the program includes workshops on global trade, market research, and strategy development. Students then compete in national competitions, presenting market entry plans for designated products and countries. National winners advance to the regional finals, where they collaborate with peers from other nations, fostering cross-cultural learning and innovation.

In the Philippines, over 10,000 students have participated since 2009, with 78 representing the country in regional finals. In 2024, six students were selected to compete in Singapore, presenting innovative water conservation solutions such as AquaCon, ReDrip, and Aquarun. The program has impacted nearly 50,000 students across Asia Pacific, preparing them to become future business leaders by enhancing their problem-solving, teamwork, and strategic thinking skills.

J&J WISTEM 2D

J&J WiSTEM2D Bridges is a groundbreaking initiative in partnership with Johnson & Johnson, designed to empower young women with disabilities to pursue successful careers in the fields of STEM2D—Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Manufacturing, and Design. Recognizing the barriers that individuals with disabilities often face in accessing educational and career opportunities in these critical sectors, this program aims to create a more inclusive path for these young women to thrive.

STEM2D Bridges provides tailored support, resources, and opportunities to help them succeed in STEM2D fields. The program begins with specialized PWD sensitivity training to ensure that all stakeholders are equipped with the understanding and tools needed to engage effectively with individuals across different disabilities.

JA Personal Finance

JA Personal Finance is a program that targets Filipino Senior High School students under the ABM and STEM strands to teach them about financial literacy, in compliance with the Philippine Department of Education curriculum requirements. JA Personal Finance is a program for students to experience the interrelationship between today’s financial decisions and future financial freedom.

JA STEM@Work

The JA STEM@Work is a pioneering initiative that caters to Senior High School students under the STEM (Science, Technology. Engineering, and Mathematics) strand. With the objectives of promoting, training, and introducing them to the different career opportunities awaiting them in the Medical, Engineering, Architecture, and Information Technology field.

Online Future Skills

The Online Future Skills Program is created to prepare and provide students – as young as those who are in Senior High School, better understanding about the employment process – the do’s and don’ts.

Travel and Tourism Business

JA Travel and Tourism Business Program (TTBiz) was established by JA Japan and Accenture Japan in 2011. It is a program that provides opportunities to high school students and experiences that would inspire them to be “Global talents” and play essential roles in globalizing society in the future. To meet its objectives, it is in partnership with JA Korea, JA Singapore, and JA Philippines to propose a new travel plan for Japan centered on eco-conscious sustainable tourism with cultural immersion.

EDGE FYS

The Forward Your Success™ Program is an upcoming two-day seminar designed to equip university-graduating students with essential financial literacy, career preparation, and after-college life readiness skills. As they transition from student life to young professionals, this program provides the tools and knowledge needed to make sound financial decisions, secure long-term stability, and thrive in their careers.

A key feature of this year’s program is the active mentorship from FWD Insurance officials, who will guide participants in understanding financial security, navigating the job market, and preparing for professional life. Through expert-led discussions, hands-on workshops, and career mentorship, students will gain an early advantage in managing their future with confidence.

ENTREPRENEURSHIPSKILLS PASS

The Entrepreneurship Skills Pass (ESP) Program by JA Philippines is a globally recognized certification program designed to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and mindset needed to succeed as entrepreneurs or in the workforce.

Through the ESP Program, students gain hands-on experience in starting, managing, and growing a business, applying real-world business concepts such as financial literacy, strategic planning, marketing, and leadership. Participants go through practical training, mentorship from industry professionals, and interactive learning experiences that help them develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

At the end of the program, students undergo an assessment to earn the Entrepreneurship Skills Pass certification, a credential that validates their business acumen and enhances their employability.
