As one of the world’s largest youth-serving NGOs, JA serves more than 12 million students each year, educating a generation of skilled and inspired workers, makers, and job creators. Through the delivery of hands-on, experiential learning in financial literacy, work readiness, and entrepreneurship, young people in over 100 countries are growing their entrepreneurial ideas, honing their work skills, managing their earnings, and securing better lives for themselves, their families, and their communities.
JA’s learning experiences are led by 470,000 volunteers, whose corporations have targeted one or more Global Goals and utilize JA’s global network to achieve them. In addition to dozens of skill-building programs, though JA’s flagship learning experience, the JA Company Program, young people create real companies with real products, often in their first experience with entrepreneurship, product development, small-business finance, and equity valuation.
Now taught in over 100 countries, variations of the JA Company Program in some regions also serve university students and out-of-school youth through, with tailored programs for launching startups and embarking on entrepreneurial careers. Our 100 million JA alumni are not only taking their place as the world’s job creators but also serving as a global force for good, as they develop products with a clear social mission that meet the challenge of reaching The Global Goals.
